The Copper Mountain Chalet was built by HR Pacific in 2007 at Kicking Horse Mountain Resort in Golden, British Columbia. Designed by Chernoff Architect, the residence combines timberframe and wood frame construction to create a Mountain Modern resort home.
The chalet was designed for an active family seeking a retreat from city living. It functions as both a winter ski base and a summer destination for biking and hiking, offering year-round use. The design emphasizes a balance of elegance and function, with architectural detailing that reflects the high-end resort setting.
The Copper Mountain Chalet has been recognized within the industry. In 2009, it received two Keystone Awards from the Canadian Homebuilders’ Association: Best Single Family Detached Home Valued over $750,000 and Best Single Family Detached Home 4,000 Sq Ft and Over.
