The Beach House is a modern timber residence on the shores of Windermere Lake, designed by North Architecture Studio and built by HR Pacific. The home adopts a low, horizontal form that settles naturally into the sloping beachfront site, opening its interior to expansive lake views and year-round light.
Mass timber construction defines both the structure and the character of the home. Exposed glulam beams and CLT planes frame the living spaces, creating warmth and rhythm while supporting large spans of glazing that connect the interior to the landscape.
Inside, finely crafted architectural millwork reinforces the home’s material continuity. Custom cabinetry, wood paneling, and built-in elements are integrated with the structural timber, producing a cohesive and refined interior.
Natural wood siding, steel detailing, and thoughtfully terraced landscaping complete the design, resulting in a contemporary lakeside home rooted in craftsmanship, simplicity, and the beauty of its setting.
