Windermere Beach House
Situated on Lake Windermere in the sunny Columbia Valley, this West Coast Modern home was designed by Peter Buchanan from North Architecture Studio.
The perfect getaway for a busy family; roof lines, views of the water and lifestyle bring up images of beach house life, hence the “Flip Flop Cabin”.
The structure of the home features fir glulam beams spanning the full length of the open concept interior. Fir CLT (cross laminated timber) roof panels allow for large overhangs and add to the light open feeling of this resort home.
Quarried bluestone and basalt are featured throughout the landscaping and home, creating a solid connection to the land.
